Each week we enjoy bringing you up-to-date local and international news, along with the boats that we proudly represent from Absolute and Selene and a brokerage line-up that we sell here and around the world.

Hello Sailors!

So you want to purchase a boat. But why did you decide on a specific brand or model? And will it be power or sail, and what size? How many cabins and how many berths? Off-shore capable or not?
There are so many things to be considered before making a decision on what to purchase. Often a buyer will end up with a boat that is totally different from that which he/she first considered buying. Talking through the choices to suit the buyer is something that we at Yachtfinders Global emphasise in the sales process. A buyer must be assisted with all the facts to enable the best decision to be reached.

Saving the Planet One Beer at a time

We are experiencing an evolution of improving environmental practices. However, with inconvenience and cost as typical obstacles, the challenge is to turn these practices into habits. No surprise our favourite habit involves beer at the bar in a bottle or glass. No containers. Minimal delivery. Zero sacrifice.
But what about the beer you buy in a can from a shop? The plastic six-pack rings are a death sentence for birds and sea life. A company that is addressing this issue is a craft beer company that has created edible six-pack rings.

Biggest 38' Family Cruiser in the world

The Selene 38 Voyager aft cabin is a true legend. This elegant and sophisticated yacht has been cruising the waters of British Columbia, the Bahamas, the Greek islands, and Southeast Asia for decades. Its unique layout, which ensures privacy for four people or two couples, has made it incredibly popular.

Thanks to its moderate size, it can be hauled out by the smallest Travelift and accommodated in almost any marina worldwide. Designed by Howard Chen and the renowned marine architect Ted Hood, winner of the 1972 America’s Cup, the Selene 38 Voyager boasts classic lines and remains one of Howard Chen’s favorite yachts.

Ospreys in Action

I never grow tired of watching these birds do what they do best, catch fish. The amount of effort that goes into one single catch is immeasurable. From soaring through the air, to submerging themselves in a foreign underwater world to floating on the surface with an injured fish in its talons.

Top landmark in the world

The # 1 landmark in the world voted by Travellers' Choice is Machu Picchu, Peru.Machu Picchu is an Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru. Built in the 15th century and later abandoned, it’s renowned for its sophisticated dry-stone walls that fuse huge blocks without the use of mortar; intriguing buildings that play on astronomical alignments and panoramic views. Its exact former use remains a mystery.

2009 Nordhavn 56 Motorsailer Mark II

A stunning vessel that personifies luxurious quality and comfort. Pacific Asian Enterprises shifted from building Mason-designed sailing boats to focusing on trawlers. The Nordhavn 56 Motorsailer revisits sail, enhancing range and versatility in a trawler-like vessel. Even a modest sail area, combined with a Hundested controllable-pitch propeller, significantly boosts fuel efficiency and steadies the boat’s motion in a seaway.

Blending both worlds, the 56 Motorsailer features a sailing cockpit with a helm station and controls for power winches and roller-furling sails, positioned ahead of a trawler-style saloon and wheelhouse, and a trawler-style aft deck.

What did the boat say to the other boat after he beat him to the punchline a third time?
"You're such a keel joy."
