Each week we enjoy bringing you up-to-date local and international news, along with the boats that we proudly represent from Absolute and Selene and a brokerage line-up that we sell here and around the world.

Hello Sailors!

As many people take up the offer of 'Tourist Delivery' we are reminded of the wonderful opportunity this is to see some of the world before shipping the boat home. 'Impressive' is the word used when buyers learnt of the support networks YFG has on offer during their cruises and the various itineraries available - something for everyone, no matter what. Learning about the pitfalls and the opportunities before the journey makes it worry-free and exciting...talk to us about how we can make it happen!

Peter Lester - A great man of the sport!

On a blustery Canterbury afternoon in the early 1960s, a young boy stood on the edge of Lyttelton Harbour, squinting into the wind. The southerly gusts funnelling down from the Port Hills slapped whitecaps across the water, the kind of conditions that could make even experienced sailors pause. For Peter Lester, this was home. Born on 14 August 1954 in Christchurch, he found his playground and his classroom in the sheltered yet temperamental waters of Lyttelton Harbour. It was here, that he learnt skills that would, in time, carry him to the very pinnacle of world sailing.
